Chaffrail - an old Acadian word meaning hariat, noise, musical din.
The group was formed in 2009 and is currently on its third album, Jamais 2 sans 3 .
The album is a compilation of original and traditional Acadian folk songs. With a “kitchen party” type atmosphere, this music brings a certain joie de vivre. The songwriters and performers, Monique Caissie and Mariette Richard (M & M) grew up in an environment where music has always played a big role, hence our musical roots. All musicians on the album are from the southeastern NB area.
