Compositions based on European musical genres have been created in Canada for over three hundred years. Gradually, Canadian composers included the notion of the northern space in their creations. Pianist Elaine Keillor invites us on an initiatory musical journey through the works written between 1807 and 2010. She paints a unique and complete portrait of Canadian piano music including, for the first time on record, pieces by several composers and creators contemporaries such as Glenn Gould.
