BIOGRAPHY
Claude Cormier grew up by the sea, in this corner of paradise called the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. A fisherman by trade, the young thirty-year-old has been fascinated by music for many years: he has spent 10 years on tour and in the studio producing 5 self-produced albums. Claude Cormier writes everyday events and sings them wonderfully.

In 2008, the singer-songwriter was doubly rewarded at the Festival Western de St-Tite when his song Un Meilleur Tomorrow won first prize in the Concours Étoiles Galaxie Radio-Canada (Folk/Rock category) in addition to receiving the prize of SOCAN for the winning song.

Guest on the shows Pour l'amour du country and Tout le monde à bord!, the man who describes himself as ''a singer, a guitar player'' was able to rub shoulders with influences: Patrick Normand and Ronald Bourgeois. Far from hiding away, isolated on his wonderful Islands, Claude Cormier produces and performs numerous shows annually, in the Magdalen Islands, Quebec, New Brunswick and France.

Given the success of previous albums, the good family bum returns with a very simple album: Claude Cormier - Acoustique. An event with a folk flavor, with a touch of Acadian warmth and that island poetry characteristic of the Madelinots! For the song Mon hockey, Claude Cormier is accompanied by Suroît.
