BIOGRAPHY
Claude Cormier grew up by the sea, in this corner of Acadia called the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. A fisherman by trade, he is fascinated by music. Singer-songwriter, he writes everyday events and sings them wonderfully. He was nominated with his album entitled Acoustique at the Canadian Music Folk Awards in 2011, in the French-speaking songwriter category. Each photo carries different stories, depending on who holds it in their hands. Nowadays, they tend to disappear, taking with them a bit of our history. Here are songs inspired by anecdotes, family stories, traditions, historical facts and romance, with folk flavors, tinged with the warm and dynamic color of the Acadians, with the poetry that characterizes the insularity of the Madelinots.
SONGS
Worn memories
Like before
We're going to enjoy the summer
At the coffee shop
The years go by
The sun rises on the East
When I'm afraid
Ti Guy Lavergne
Let us talk
Your beautiful sheets
