BIOGRAPHY
Claude Cormier is an artist from the Magdalen Islands who currently lives in Rimouski, Qc. The genre of music on Claude Cormier's album "Garde ton accent" can be compared to that of the legendary group "Suroît" as well as from "Great big sea" with an Irish folk sound. After three years of acoustic tours across the country, Claude Cormier returns to his origins and presents his most recent album: Garde ton accent.
It's an album with an Irish folk sound with the unique language of that of the Islands. Claude Cormier surrounded himself with musicians from the Vishten group who are recognized for their wild sound of violin, banjo, accordion, percussion and guitars which gives this warm and dynamic atmosphere of the Acadians of the Islands. A festive gathering with Irish folk flavors, with the colorful poetry and unique language of the Magdalen Islands.
