Synopsis. An inventory working for Kinetech Labs has designed a robot for search and rescue missions that has the ability to mimic human actions and emotions. After discovering that the robot's advanced microchip is actually going to be used by Kinetech for military applications, the inventory programs the robot to flee, whereupon it is damaged. Twelve year old Henry finds the broken robot, fixes him up, and names him Cody. With no memory of his past, Cody becomes Henry's best friend. They will team up to save their respective parents, who are being held captive by the organization that funded the robot's creator.

An eminent scientist discovers that his employers have chosen to use his invention, a robot initially developed for humanitarian purposes, for military purposes. Feeling betrayed and abused, he steals a copy which breaks during his failed escape. The robot is then recovered and repaired by a little twelve-year-old boy. They will both team up to try to save their respective parents, held prisoner by the scientist's company.
