BIOGRAPHY
Since September 2013, the members of Cy have been mixing harmonies and guitar strings to create music from today and the past. Equipped with three guitars and four voices, this Nova Scotian group based in Moncton, succeeds in uniting folk, progressive and traditional styles to create a sound that is both warm and harmonious. A child of the new Acadian indie-folk wave, Cy stands out for his sought-after harmonies and his contagious sense of humor which has charmed listeners from one end of Acadia to the other.
Here is the first homonymous mini-album, a collection of original compositions which continues to generate ink in the French-speaking maritime media. The five tracks of the album are the product of musical research inspired by the melodies and traditional tales that are still heard in Baie Sainte-Marie in Nova Scotia.
