BIOGRAPHY
Cy, who has just won the Éloizes prize in the “Discovery of the Year” category, is made up of Éric Dow (lead vocals), Jacques Blinn (acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals), Jacques Boudreau (acoustic guitar, keyboard and vocals). ) and Guyaume Boulianne (acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals). “Second Nation” features nine songs, most of them composed by Cy, with the majority of the lyrics written by the group's lead singer, Éric Dow. Guyaume Boulianne also wrote the lyrics of a song. Two pieces are interpretations, arranged in the style of Cy, and one comes from a text by Georgette LeBlanc.
The production is by Kevin O'Neil and the sound recording, mixing and mastering is by Jean-Pascal Comeau. Christian Kit Goguen supported the artists in the artistic direction of the project. Cy launched an EP in 2014 which has allowed the group to present around a hundred shows in the Maritime Provinces, Quebec, Ontario and France.
