Augustin Marleau is an actor who has a crazy talent... for making himself hated. Already, in his previous adventure, the Assassin played the trombone, he almost served as a scapegoat for a dangerous criminal and a police inspector who was as ambitious as he was narrow-minded.
Today, when he finally thinks he's returning to a normal life, Marleau's eternal enemies return to attack. First, the police inspector, a man named Giuseppe Grasselli, insists on making him the culprit of an enigmatic kidnapping case.
Then, Elkin, a fencing esthete, secretly broods over revenge against him. Which forces Augustin Marleau to cause misfortunes through misunderstandings, to run from blunder to blunder. Until chance gives him the solution to the riddle. But here again, Marleau will have to pay personally because for him, nothing is ever simple.
