Adrien, a mechanic from a small town on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, has been hoping for a kidney transplant for 5 years. In the meantime, his life is on hold. He tries as best he can to preserve his garage, his relationship, despite the long hours spent several times a week on dialysis and his energy which fades with the illness. But the hiring of a young man from a distant village in the garage triggers a series of upheavals in Adrien's life which will reveal him in an unexpected and disturbing way.
