This Colocs single immortalizes three versions of La Comète , a new song constructed from a demo recorded by André Fortin shortly before his death. There we find, of course, Dédé's stripped-down interpretation, a recording of voices and foot tapping so precious that it is worth the purchase of the compact alone. It's as if the deceased were singing their piece to you in person. The Colocs ' version was the final result, after guitarist and producer Mike Sawatzky dressed the track with the band's other musicians, true to the Colocs tradition. The long version benefits from stretched jams. Part of the profits from the sale of the record will be donated to the Dédé Fortin Foundation , which is dedicated to suicide prevention. – Olivier Robillard Laveaux (See.ca)
