Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter and founding member of the legendary group Garolou , Michel Lalonde , returns with a new album. Comme un engin will appear on the Full Stéréo label of brothers Pierre and François Lamoureux.

The ten songs on the album are reflections on love, friendship, the environment, the planet, and life! The texts reveal a simple poetry over which hovers the gaze of a man whose words, certainly mature, never give in to cynicism or fatalism. The title track is a good example where the image of pure and raw energy of the youth who take to the streets to decry inertia in the face of the challenges of our battered world, reminds us that this machine, this mass of earth and humanity, we are all part of it.

Tinted with folk-rock, country, Cajun and “Americana” sounds, Comme un engin was recorded largely in Prince Edward Island and produced by Rémi Arsenault (Natalie MacMaster) with the collaboration of Ed Stasium (The Ramones, Talking Heads, Motorhead), the album represents a turning point for Lalonde, a foray into a world where the poetry of a seasoned poet combines with the energy of Acadian salt rock under the director's touch , Rémi Arsenault . The first single, J'suis fait comme ça , with its catchy melody and the distinctive voice of Michel Lalonde , takes us back to Garolou 's best days.

With two Félixes and more than 225,000 albums sold in his career, Garolou 's legacy in the history of Quebec music is indisputable and Michel Lalonde had a lot to do with it. With this third solo album, he confirms what his fans have always known, that under the skin of this wolf who brought our greatest choruses back to life, has long been hiding a committed and passionate singer. With Comme un engin , Michel Lalonde opens the machine one more notch!
