Collection: Robert Charlebois
A fiery troubadour and ambassador of Quebec song all over the world, Robert Charlebois has never hesitated to question himself from one album to another to try unexplored musical avenues.
In his early days, he was also one of those singers traveling through Quebec's music clubs.
A trip to California would forever transform him musically. He will electrify his repertoire and present his show L'Osstidcho in the middle of May 68! In addition to adopting a resolutely rock, even psychedelic sound, he pushed the audacity to the point of singing in joual.
From the end of the 1960s and over the following decade, the living legend offered Quebec some essential anthems such as Les mots d'un ange , Ordinaire , Ent' deux joints , The Frog Song , I will return to Montreal and several others titles that have found their place in local song anthologies.
In line with his musical eclecticism, Charlebois surrounded himself with lyricists as diverse as Réjean Ducharme , Claude Péloquin and Luc Plamondon .
After opting for pop during the 80s ( J't'aime comme un fou , It's not physical, it's electric ), he returned to a more folk approach with his album Doux sauvage in 2001.
